Eligibility For School Bus Transport

To be eligible for free School Transport a pupil must attend the catchment or nearest school appropriate for their age, (as specified by Somerset County Council) and the home address must be over the statutory distance. If your child is under eight, this is 2 miles, and if they are 8 or over it is 3 miles. The distance is measured along the shortest available 'walking' route suitable for a child accompanied as necessary.
