Rail Minister Takes a Tour of the Tracks
Rail Minister Lord Adonis took to the tracks this month on a five day rail tour around the UK to experience rail travel from the perspective of an ordinary fare paying passenger.
The purpose of the 2,200-mile long trip was to gain get a better understanding of the lines and more provincial services across the country, as well as finding our about the issues encountered by rail users.
He has been recording his experiences and observations from his tour in the form of a blog which you can read on The Times website.
