Taunton Gateway
The new Taunton Gateway Park and Ride on the A358, just off M5 junction 25 at Henlade, opened on 16 November 2009.
Around 600 spaces were opened for launch. The rest of the site is still under construction but once completed, there will be around 1000 spaces, secure cycle parking and an indoor waiting area with information and toilet facilities. Construction work is expected to continue until the end of 2009.
Silk Mills
The Silk Mills Park and Ride site is located on the North West edge of Taunton and opened in late 2005. It has and indoor waiting area with information and toilet facilities. A number of high quality cycle lockers are available to rent at a cost of £5 for a ten-week period. This enables cyclists to leave their bikes in a secure, enclosed locker while continuing their journey into town on the Park and Ride bus, or to drive to the Silk Mills car park, then continue their journey into town by bicycle (storing the bike in the locker overnight).
