Night Strider Walking Event

Night Strider takes place on Friday 10th July 2009 at the Taunton Racecourse.

Night Strider is a unique sponsored walk and music event designed especially for you and your friends.

Open to ladies only, you are invited to walk as many circuits as you feel able around the racecourse between 9pm and 12pm. The Night Strider Walk is a flexible one, and you are able to complete as much or as little as you wish - you set the challenge to stretch you personally.

The event is being held to raise money for two Somerset charities - St. Margaret’s Somerset Hospice and Heart's Have a Heart Charity.

There is even a demonstration of Nordic Walking taking place with qualified instructors, and you can hire poles for just £1. Nordic-style walking will help you get round the Racecourse quicker and with less effort – while burning nearly 50% more calories than normal walking. Ideal for raising even more cash for the Hospice at Night Strider!

Following the walking, there will then be a massive music sing-a-long until the small hours. You can also bring your tent to ‘Pitch & Party’ if you choose.

It costs £15 to register. The closing date for registrations is Monday 6th July 2009.
