Enviro-friendly truck takes to the roads

Logistics firm DHL has chosen the UK to trial an 18-tonne hybrid distribution truck.

Business Green reports that DHL will be using the vehicles to shave up to 15 per cent off its fuel bill. The vehicle features the 'tear drop' shape which is more aerodynamically efficient, and uses a combination of regenerative braking and electric motors to reduce fuel consumption.
