Beat the fuel price rise – Car Share!

According to the Daily Telegraph, the cost of filling the tank of a small family car will cost £2 more today than it did this time last week.

Fuel duty has gone up by 1p a litre this week (then another 1p in October and another in January). This – along with soaring prices at the petrol pumps - is going to add a substantial amount to your annual fuel bill, especially if you commute a long way each day.

Recently the AA said that families are spending £52 a month more on petrol than a year ago – and that was before the fuel duty increase! But we have a suggestion of a way to avoid being hit too hard.

If you haven’t signed up already, this is the time to join our car-share scheme, www.carsharesomerset.com. The typical commuter who car-shares every day saves literally hundreds of pounds a year. What would you do with all that extra money?!
