West Somerset Mineral Line - Guided Walk
The West Somerset Mineral Railway was built in the 1850s to transport iron ore mined in the Brendon Hills to Watchet, where it was shipped across to South Wales. The creation of this railway had a profound effect on the residents, the local economy and the landscape.
This guided walk will give an insight into one of West Somerset's finest feats of Victorian engineering. This three hour walk takes in parts of the West Somerset Mineral Railway still visible in the scenic Brendon Hills, and includes the "Incline".
