Snowdrop Valley Walks
An opportunity to get out and get active by exploring parts of Exmoor on two feet with friends or family. Snowdrop Valley gets its name because the area explodes with snowdrops every spring.
It is within walking distance of Wheddon Cross, via the village of Cutcombe. The walking route into the valley will be waymarked with snowdrop symbols and visitors should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for winter walking.
You can also get down to the valley by using the Park and Ride scheme. This enables visitors to reach the valley without having to take their cars down the narrow country lanes that lead to it.
Buses will run from the Rest and Be Thankful pub car park in Wheddon Cross every half an hour from 10:30am to 4pm with the last bus back from the valley at 4:50pm. For the comfort of all passengers only guide dogs and hearing dogs may travel on the buses.
Any alterations to the scheme (for example in the event of bad weather) and details of extra events and community fundraising will be notified on the Wheddon Cross website or via the Dulverton National Park Visitor Centre on 01398 323841.
