Junction 25 Travel Celebration Event

A day-long travel celebration event will be held on 22nd September 2010 to celebrate travel to and from Junction 25 of the M5 in Taunton.

The day also marks the launch of a month long challenge for employees to change the way they travel once-a-week or more. They can win prizes and enter themselves and their employers into a league table against others in the area and at two other sites in the South West. Registration IS NOW OPEN and publicity materials will be provided to all employers.

Employees will be inspired to investigate the other travel options on offer, besides travelling to work on their own.

Free use of cycleways and pavements - new cycle and walking route leaflets

Events - draft programme

8-10am - Good Morning Junction 25 at ENTRANCE TO BLACKBROOK BUSINESS PARK! Travel ambassadors meeting employees on their arrival to work

12-2pm - Lunchtime Travel Celebration  and whistle-stop tour - electric cycle and low carbon vehicle car show, on-the-spot contests and prizes, free travel information and free snacks and refreshments.  

  • 12-12.35pm: Blackbrook Business Park (PETER BRETT ASSOCIATES)
  • 12.45-1.15pm: Deane Gate Office Park (HOLIDAY INN CAR PARK)
  • 1.25-1.50pm: Heron Gate Office Park (OUTSIDE PARDOES)

ALL DAY - free Repair & Ride cycle servicing - for local employees. JUST DROP YOUR BIKE OFF. First come first served! 

Please come along on Wednesday at lunchtime to register for a cycle service on the Thursday 23rd or Friday 24th, and get your bike geared up for winter. Offer not open to those who received a free service in June. First come first served! 

5-6pm - Walk4Life Miles route opening - Guided two-mile after work walk from Blackbrook Business Park, returning to the Harvester (weather permitting). Book in advance by emailing us
