Cycle Around the World Treasure Hunt
A family cycle treasure hunt is being held along the Strawberry Line in Somerset. This event is being run along the Strawberry Line, between Yatton and Winscombe, from 10am to 4pm on June 20. The theme is 'cycle around the world' and those taking part will have to find country-related clues along the way.
Cyclists can start from either Yatton Station or Winscombe Station and the route between each station is approximately seven miles one way. There is the option of starting and finishing at the same station (14 miles) or finishing at the opposite station (seven miles). Anyone fancying a longer ride can continue all the way to Cheddar, although the cycle hunt clues are between Yatton and Winscombe.Participants can start any time between 10am and 2pm but need to be finished by 4pm.
Registration forms be completed in advance at www.go4life.org or by email at cyclehunt@n-somerset.gov.uk or by calling 01275 810 995. Once registered instructions, a route map and an answer form will be emailed or posted out.
Everyone who registers and completes the cycle hunt by 4pm on the day will receive a free gift and certificate.
The event has been organised by North Somerset Council as part of Bike Week and the Go4Life scheme to encourage adults in North Somerset to get active three times for 30 minutes a week.
