Bike Week 2010
There's plenty going on to celebrate cycling in Somerset during Bike Week 2010. Get on your bike and enjoy the freedom and health benefits that cycling can give you.
Taunton Town Centre Events
Sat 19 and Sat 26 June
Stands in Taunton Town Centre hosted by the Somerset Road Safety Partnership and Moving Somerset Forward.
Attractions will include a pedal-powered smoothie maker, free bicycle servicing, guided rides, cycling competitions, maps, information and more.
Leisure ride, Taunton – Saturday 26 June
Get the family together and enjoy a leisurely led cycle ride. This gentle ride will be mainly off road, travelling along the canal to Bathpool, before returning to Vivary Park. It is suitable for all and will go with the pace of the slowest rider. Starts from the Bike Week stand on Fore Street at 4pm, finishing at Vivary Park at 5.30-6pm.
Somerset Cycle Rides
Sunday 27 June
Enjoyable rides through the Somerset countryside from 15-100 miles long. All routes start at The Bicycle Chain, Chip Lane, Taunton from 9-11am. For more information, go to the Somerset Cycle Rides event page.

Somerset Cycle Challenge
As part of the Somerset Cycle Challenge, we’re encouraging people to cycle as much as they can during Bike Week. We’ll be giving away special prizes for the people who make the most trips and cycle the furthest during the week. To take part, go to the Somerset Cycle Challenge website.
