1. Can you send me bus timetable information?
Transporting Somerset produces public transport timetable books for each of the following areas: Mendip, Taunton/West Somerset, Sedgemoor and South Somerset. These books are available to the public either by contacting Somerset Direct on
0845 345 9155
and requesting a book or by going into one of a number of timetable book distributors i.e. your Local Library, Tourist Information Centre or Bus Station and picking one up.
If you are a regular bus user, you may benefit from going on the mailing list in order to receive the timetable updates as they are published. If you wish to go on the mailing list you need to contact Somerset Direct on

2. The bus shelter/timetable stand is damaged - who can I tell?
If there is a problem with the bus shelter please contact your local District Council.
If the timetable case or post of a bus stop is damaged you should contact First on
0845 606 4446
with details of the road and the nearest house number or landmark.
If the timetable within the case is out of date, damaged or unable to be read please contact Somerset Direct on

with the details.

3. Are there buses that run past local attractions?

4. Can I use Community Based Accessible Transport?
Community Based Accessible Transport is aimed at people who cannot use Public Transport. This may be because the transport is not accessible or because there is no service covering the required route.
Each Accessible Transport Scheme has its own eligibility criteria and you should contact your local Accessible Transport provider for further information

5. Is there Community Based Accessible Transport in my area?
Yes - if you live in Somerset there will be an Accessible Transport Provider in your area. There are five main District Based providers - one based in each District area. There are also around seven smaller providers throughout the County and around a further fourteen Community Car Schemes.

Yes - travel vouchers are accepted on Taunton Deane Community Transport for individual bookings.
